Larry Sumrall began in the construction business in 1971. The first four years were spent constructing custom built home in the Laurel-Jones County area of Mississippi. In 1975, the company began bidding commercial projects such as schools and other public buildings.

By the early 1980’s, the company decided to pursue projects in Alabama and Louisiana and went through the extensive process of being licensed to perform work in those states. We also decided to pursue industrial projects in addition to the commercial business that was successfully in place. During the 1990’s, the company added Design/Build commercial and industrial projects to our resume.

Our success is due to our commitment to quality and teamwork. We rely heavily on repeat customers, so customer satisfaction is our “Number One” priority. We want each employee to take great pride in providing our customers with a quality product delivered on time. Over the years, four of the company’s projects have been entered for competition for the State Board of Contractors for Quality Awards. Each project was selected as the State’s Best in its category. This says our professional craftsmen, carpenters, and construction managers are the best in all of Mississippi. This is a great credit to the management and employees of this company and the master skills that they possess.

Company History

Larry Sumrall graduated form Mississippi State University in 1969 with a degree in Construction Engineering Technology. A native of the Laurel area, he worked in construction supply until 1970 when he established his contracting firm. Initially the company was established as a commercial contractor, but later expanded into industrial construction. Over time much of the expansion of the company came from design build projects, and our success came from commitment to quality and teamwork. For more than 30 years Larry ran the company exceeding the expectations of his clients with quality construction, professional and personal integrity at all levels of the business.

In 2007 Larry Sumrall's son Sean Sumrall took responsibility of the business and has continued Larry's legacy in providing high quality, professional projects. Our years of experiance, the educational backgound of our office personnel, and our long-time labor force have enabled us to be successful in business where may others have failed. Our philosophy has always been to provide quality construction on time and withing budget. We pride ourselves on our hard earned reputation and our ability to work well with Owners and Architects. We now have 13 employees and 3 project managers that estimate and manage each project from the bid stage to project completion, using the latest in computer hardware and software technology.
